Ruby Peyton Obituary

Loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Great Lakes Rehab Center, Saginaw. Age 89 years. Daughter of the late Lelan H. and Elva May (Gayle) Goodson, Ruby was born March 25, 1936, in Nashville, Michigan. She was married to the late James H. Peyton. Sue taught and enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved her dogs and cats.
Surviving to cherish her memory are one son, Dave Peyton, Northville; a grandson, Case Peyton, Northville; her sister, Marcille "Margorie" Guy, Sumner, Michigan; a son-in-law, Joel A. Kelly, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra L. Kelly and her siblings, Helen Belson, Lucille Gray, Wilma Goodson, Marvin, Tom and Melvin Goodson.
Honoring Mrs. Peyton's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw County Humane Society.
