Kathleen (Kathy or Kasha) Klepinger, formerly of
Saginaw, Michigan; beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at her home on October 2, 2025, age 88. The daughter of the late David and Theresia Hoppe was born on January 2, 1937, in
Saginaw, Michigan. She married Ralph Klepinger, her husband of 53 years, on January 26, 1957.
Kathy was a member of St Francis De Sales Catholic Church (Saint Simon & Jude) until 2020 when she moved to Morristown, Tennessee to live with her daughter, and caregiver, Rebecca. She worked for many years at Candlelite Banquet Center, managing the banquet area, while raising a family and caring for her husband. Eventually retiring to care for him full time. She also cared for many children over the years taking them in as her own. Kathy was passionate about her garden, perennial flowers and her vegetables. She took great pride in canning and providing food to her family. She was also a devoted catholic teaching her family the importance of God and going to church with her family. She loved children and babies; in her younger years she worked in the hospital helping with the children. She also loved to take pictures of her children, grandchildren and her beautiful yard. She created albums for memories for her to look at through all her years till the end of her life, and for later generations to enjoy. She loved the holidays and decorated for all of them, many times making her own decorations. She made and hosted huge holiday dinners for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and friends.
Kathy is survived by six children; Veronica and Anthony Cech, Ralph and Brenda Klepinger, Rebecca Lynch, Morristown, TN, Todd and Julie Mayer, David and Michelle Klepinger, Monica Randle and Bill Rappley; Eleven grandchildren; Anthony J. and Samantha Cech, Renee McCoy and Mark Rankin, Amanda and Tony Barr, Matthew Klepinger and Melissa Smith, Stefanie and Jeff Fackler, Carlie Wright, Abbey Klepinger and Tyler Holvey, Brian and Kierstin Pardo, Junior Pardo, Hayley Randle and James General, Chelsey Randle and Damian Schultz, And 21 great grandchildren; Savannah, Brenden, Madison, Donald, Elizabeth, Alexandria, Lilith, Autumn, Max, Makenzie, Wyatt, Mitchell, Brian, Sophia, Tyler, Rory, Noah, James, Jaxson, Jamirr, and Amethyst. She is also survived by siblings: Joseph and Carol Hoppe, Mary Stankiewicz, Ray and Sandy Hoppe, Bernadine and Larry Lumsden, her sister-in-law June Hoppe, and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph, siblings Don Hoppe, Cecilia Hoppe Binder, Jerome Hoppe, Cornelius Hoppe, Patricia Hoppe, and Anthony Hoppe, and her parents.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at St Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Rev Fr. John Mancini, OSFS, will officiate with burial directly after mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where family will be present on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
