Simeon Oliver "Sim" Wilford

Simeon Oliver Wilford (Sim), Age 93, of Scottsboro, AL, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Thomas County, Georgia, on July 27, 1932, Sim was the son of the late James Everett Wilford and Gladys DeLong Wilford. Sim was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Wilford, and brothers, William (Bill) Wilford and James Everett Wilford, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wilford; sons, Sim Wilford Jr. and wife Alex of Wake Forest, North Carolina; Brian Wilford and wife Sandy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and David Wilford and wife Jenny of Tega Cay, South Carolina; grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Caleb, Olivia, Brayden, Blakely, and Amilya; great-granddaughter, Alice. Mr. Wilford served in the United States Army and retired from National Biscuit Company (Nabisco Brands) after 44 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, Georgia, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm at Sharon Memorial Gardens, Tyrone, Georgia.
