Simon Connolly

Simon M. Connolly, age 18, of Canton, formerly of Brookfield. Beloved son of Mary Connolly, nee Egan; loving brother of Christin (Jason) Pollard, Paula (Peter) Wengerski, Sean (Gretchen) Connolly, Kyon Egan, Lea Connolly, Joshua Connolly and Sophia Connolly; grandson of the late Michael (Marjorie) Connolly and Robert (Carla) Egan; nephew of Henry Darre, Laura (Bob) Kurz, Aldis (the late Cynthia) Darre and Martha Gassman; cousin of many.

Bright blue eyes, the will of a giant and the look of onery. Those are just a few things that remind one of Simon. He was determined when he sat out on his next adventure. Whether that be roaming around rooms, finding his favorite toys, or taking Santa's hat. Simon was born to an amazing mom, who fought like no other when it came to Simon. Star Care was entrusted to care for Simon in 2022. Though a short time he will forever have a lasting memory with staff, teachers, students, and his friends. Simon had a love for his Teddy, Buzz Lightyear, Curious George, and his recliner. You also would lose your hat if Simon liked it. As much as the world thought they were the boss, oh, how wrong we all were. Simon was the boss from the start of life. The little voice that had so much power. His laughter could fill a room with smiles. His life what short but he touched lives in a way that only Simon could.

Simon now watches over his incredible mom Mary. Simon was one of 8 children. When Simon was on a mission, it was usually to find a computer or phone to call his brother Joshua. His bond with his siblings was so strong. There is one bond that is beyond compare, Simon and his beautiful twin Sophia. No one could ever imagine how much fun it was to grow up as a sibling with Simon. We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to have Simon in our lives.

There will be a memorial gathering at Canton High School, 1001 North Main Street on Saturday January 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please wear orange, as that was Simon's favorite color. There will also be a bubble send off at the end for anyone who wants to bring bubbles. Cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory.
