Simon Popielarczyk Hart

Simon Hart, 21, of Mebane, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022.
He is survived by his parents, Susan and Ted Hart; sister, Allegra Hart; maternal grandparents, Helen and Walter Krupa; aunts and uncles, Annette and Rick Napierski, Michael Krupa and Melody Nichols, and John Krupa; and cousins, Emily Napierski, Dan Napierski and wife Missy, Nick Napierski, Audrey Krupa, and Jackie Krupa. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Zofia and Frank Popielarczyk.
Simon was a Junior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte studying Mechanical Engineering, a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society and member of the Archery Club. He is a graduate of Cedar Ridge High School where he played the saxophone in the marching, jazz, and concert bands as well as the founder and President of the Ultimate Frisbee Club. Simon's hobbies included metal smithing, knife making, wood working, hiking, archery, mountain biking, skiing, tennis, drone aerial photography/videography, gardening, surfing, and metal detecting. He loved going on adventures and traveling. He had a natural curiosity about the world and pursued so many interests. He loved learning and would pursue knowledge deeply. He was joyful and enthusiastic about the world around him. He loved family trips and visiting historical sites, beaches, mountains, and national parks. He loved animals and he was a very caring and kind human being. He was an amazing person, and everyone loved him. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.
Private services for Simon will be held at his family home.
