Simon Palma Obituary
Simon Ruiz Palma, 88 of Hope Mills, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
Simon served 24 years in the US Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart before retiring in 1976 as a Sergeant First Class. After his military career, he worked for 12 years with ICI (Imperial Chemical Ins).
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 65 years, Helga Palma; sons, Andy Palma and Sherry of Fayetteville, Alfred Palma and Ela of Oklahoma, Tony Palma of Raeford, Archie Palma and Dianne of Fayetteville, and Roger Palma and Becki of Hope Mills; daughter, Anita Lovick and Barry of Parkton; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Simon was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
