Simon Yeh, 72, of Walnut Creek, California, passed away peacefully at home. Simon was born in Hong Kong in August 1952 to Gertrude and Hsun Yeh. The family immigrated to San Francisco in 1957. After graduating from Lowell High, Simon graduated from Stanford University where he met Elizabeth. Simon entered the graduate program at UC Davis and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1980. Simon married Elizabeth in 1977, and they welcomed JoAnna in 1983. Simon had a long and illustrious career working in the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, first as a scientist and then moving up to senior management positions. Simon was a devout Christian. He was active in his church community, teaching Sunday School and serving on committees. Simon will be remembered for his faith, kindness, warm presence, and strength of character. Simon was an avid runner, who completed 17 full marathons and many more half marathons. A celebration of life service will take place at the Contra Costa Gospel Church at 2460 Buena Vista Ave, Walnut Creek, CA 94597 on May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
