Sindy Lynett Northington, passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 66 in Guntown, MS. Born on June 19, 1959, in Zion, IL, Sindy was a proud graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School.
Sindy found immense joy in her hobbies, which included camping and hiking, riding motorcycles, reading, sewing, canning vegetables, playing card games, especially SkipBo or Phase 10 on her phone, gardening, and most importantly, watching her grandchildren. She also adored her dogs and birds. She held a special fondness for decorating during holidays and family gatherings, creating warm and festive atmospheres for her loved ones.
However, her greatest joy came from her family, and her love for the Lord. She enjoyed being a wife and homemaker. She will be remembered for the laughter and memories she created with her grandchildren: Emily Snyder, Abigail Snyder, Jaxon King, Britney Northington, Dawson King, and Audrey Barnett, along with another grandchild on the way.
Sindy is survived by her loving husband, Brett Northington; her daughters, Helen Mackey (Michael), Chasitie King (Dalton), and Jamie Snyder (Caleb); as well as her siblings Pam Viitala (Dan), Dennis Mason, and Susan Logan (Steve). Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Odis Mason, mother, Joyce Towery, brother, James Mason, and her grandson, Matthew Northington.
Sindy Lynett Northington will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, as her spirit touched the lives of many, igniting warmth and love through her family and friendships.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held July 13, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. at her residence for close family and friends.
