Skye Nevaeh Cox was born on January 15,2006 to April Cox and the late Felton T.
Billoups Jr., in Plaquemine La. Skye attended Donaldsonville high school and was
entering her senior year as a class of 2024 graduate. Skye enjoyed singing, playing
gospel music, styling hair, picnics, going to movies and hanging around the house with
her friends. Skye was a home, body but an incredibly hard worker and very
independent. She made sure to help her mom around the house, and she also worked at
Taco Bell and Subway in addition to playing volleyball and soccer.
Skye loved the Lord and accepted him as her savior in 2011 and was baptized at
Emanuel Baptist Church. Every day Skye sent scriptures and words of encouragement
to those close to her. Her last video message to her family was "trust God."
Skye entered her heavenly home suddenly on June 28, 2023 at the age of 17.
Her memory will be cherished by her mother April Cox, three Brothers Bryce
Billoups, Montrell (Taylor) Marshall, and Quenton (Angel) Robins; two sisters
Ivy West and Feltonia Jackson Billoups. Paternal grandmother Adell W. Billoups.
Maternal grandmother Gloria Dean Cox, and a host of aunts, cousins, family
members and friends.
Skye was predeceased by her father Felton T. Billoups Jr., paternal grandfather
Felton T. Billoups Sr., maternal grandfather Curtis Daggs, and Aunt Aletha Cox
