Miss Skylar Rae Lawson, age 5, of Mount Airy gained her angel wings in her parents’ arms on Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She was born in Forsyth County on June 7, 2020, to Christy Caudle Lawson and Justin Lawson. Miss Skylar was a bundle of joy, always smiling, and could make sad times happy times. Though her time on earth was short, she impacted the many around her. Skylar is survived by her parents, Justin and Christy Lawson; brother, Maverick Lawson; maternal grandparents, William Caudle, Sr., Dana Bauguess and Mike; paternal grandmother, Nancy Edwards; maternal great grandmother, Francis Caudle; paternal great grandmother, Denola Willard; uncles, William Caudle Jr. and Aislinn, Justin Caudle and Hannah. As per family wishes, all services will be private. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Lawson family.
