Soledad Ortiz, age 23, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away January 12th, 2025 in her home. Sol was born February 4th, 2001, to her parents Julio Ortiz and Maria Guadalupe Ortiz.
Sol had a very happy and beautiful childhood. Everyone that knew her would describe her as a caring, selfless, and loving individual. Sol was always the life of the party and always guaranteed a laugh out of those around her. Her name is Soledad, but everyone called her "Sol", meaning "Sun", which without a doubt is very fitting for her since she was a ray of sunshine in our lives.
Sol's favorite pass times were attending concerts, trying out new restaurants, and hanging out with her friends and family. She loved having brunch in the mornings with her friends and right after beating them in video games. She was always quite competitive in all things that she was passionate about.
Sol was a dedicated food lover. Some of sol's favorite foods were her mom's tacos al vapor, her tia's enchiladas suizas, mojarras, and her madrina's rice. The easiest way to make her smile was to ask her if she wanted to go eat at Chili's and her answer was always, "Tu di rana, y yo salto."
Sol is survived by her parents, Julio Ortiz and Maria Guadalupe Ortiz; her siblings, Julio Ortiz and Alejandra Ortiz; her grandmother, Maria Padilla and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved her dearly. Sol is preceded in death by her grandfather Ignacio Bermejo.
Sol will be missed dearly by all those who knew her. She leaves this earth leaving us with a great sense of loss, but her love, her beautiful smile, her contagious laugh, and countless of wonderful memories will remain with us here forever in our hearts.
