Sonja K. Epperhart

Sonja K. Epperhart, 66, passed away on February 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was a woman of immense kindness and warmth, never knowing a stranger and always putting others before herself. Her love for her family was fierce and unwavering, and she cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. Sonja was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, wife and friend.
She is survived by her children, Chris Brown (Stephanie) and their children, Aiden, Ellie, Harper and Olivia; Lena Reid (Sean) and their children, Spencer and Parker; and her grandson Austin (Sara) and great-granddaughter Willow. Sonja also leaves behind her brother Mark Perry (Denise); sister Debbie Perry Terry (Tony); as well as several nieces and nephews. Sonja held a special place in her heart for her dear friends, Rob Hyatt, David Reffitt, Leah Reffitt and Amy Terry (Josh).
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave Epperhart; her son, Steven Brown; her mother and stepfather, Melitta and Harry Beal; her father and stepmother, Charles and Betty Perry; her sisters, Victoria Baxter and Jeanine Hyatt.
Her kindness, generosity and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at the Selma American Legion.
