Spencer D. Goulding, a free spirit with a heart full of kindness and a soul that radiated warmth, was born on June 30, 1993, in Kansas City, Missouri. To know Spencer was to know joy, sincerity, and adventure. He brought light to the lives around him and left this world far too soon on June 7, 2025, in Williams, Oregon.

From an early age, Spencer embraced life with endless curiosity and enthusiasm. His adventurous spirit was undeniable, but it was his genuine, caring nature that truly drew people close. Spencer attended Shawnee Mission East High School, where he grew lifelong friendships and continued to grow his love for nature. Whether hiking along wooded trails, camping beneath the stars, or simply pausing to admire a sunset, Spencer found his deepest peace in the great outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were spent working on his family’s farm southwest of Butler, Missouri, and enjoying the mountains on family vacations in Colorado.

Spencer’s passions were as vibrant as his soul. He picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and never put it down, finding joy in playing music that reflected his free spirit. He loved to cook, especially when it came to making spicy dishes, and found contentment in the quiet pastimes of hunting and fishing—cherished traditions that strengthened his bond with his Dad and connected him even more deeply with nature.

Among Spencer’s closest companions was his beloved dog, Sundance, his faithful and loyal best friend who stood by his side through life’s many chapters.

Spencer’s greatest devotion was to his family. He is survived by his loving mother, Susan (Hickok) Goulding, and his devoted father, John Goulding. He leaves behind his brother, Reese Goulding; his sister, Lauren Carolan; and his treasured niece, Emma Carolan. He is also lovingly remembered by his uncle, Bill Hickok, his aunt, Bobbi Jo Hickok, and all his cousins.

Spencer now joins in eternal peace his beloved brother, Johnny Goulding, and his cherished grandparents, John and Isabel Goulding and Don and Ruth Ann Hickok. There is comfort in knowing that these deeply missed loved ones are now joyfully reunited with him.

Spencer’s life was a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness, the thrill of adventure, and the importance of living each moment fully. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lingers—in the songs he played beneath open skies, and in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be missed beyond measure, but his memory will forever be held close, a steady reminder of the love and light in the lives he touched.
