Spencer Hoad Obituary

He was born March 20, 1941, in Corning, NY, the son of Lawrence and Doris (Cook) Hoad.
Spencer was a graduate of Haverling High School in Bath, NY. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He served proudly from March 11, 1959, to March 11, 1963.
After his honorable discharge from the military, he worked various construction jobs. He then worked for and retired from Mercury Aircraft, Inc.
He enjoyed traveling, watching western movies and baseball, especially rooting on his favorite team, the Yankees.
Spencer is survived by his son's Dennis and Daughter-in-law Beth Hoad of Hammondsport, Douglas and daughter-in-law Lee Ann Hoad of Bath, Terry and daughter-in-law Mary Hoad of TN and Trey Hoad of Bath; brothers Gary and sister-in-law Linda Hoad and Larry Hoad; Sister Beverly Kerr; grandchildren Mike, Samantha, Alisha and Reagan; great grandchildren Gavin, Reilly, Jon, Connor, Joxan, Cerissa and Jameson; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at Bath National Cemetery with Military honors.
Memorial donations may be made to Bampa's House, 170 E. First Street, Corning, NY 14830.

To Dennis , Douglas , Terry , and Trey and Families , I am so sorry for the loss of your Father and am sending Prayers for this difficult time ; it´s been a long time since I have seen him but had tried reaching him by phone over the pass couple years and left messages when I knew we were having a Family reunion . Your Dad , Charlie Mann , and myself were all born in the same and we had great times on Grandpa and Grandma Cook´s farm but the Joke of it all was they had an Uncle that hadn´t been Born yet making them my Nephew´s. Years have gone by but I have thought of us all often and miss seeing him. I pass My Condolences on to you guys and hope I have a chance to meet up with sometime in the near future.
