Spencer Ray Moore, 68, of Kenbridge, Va. went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2025. He was the son of the late Thomas Lee Moore and Mary Marker Moore and father of the late Thomas Alvin Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Overby Moore; his daughter, Tyler Moore; his sisters, Gloria M. Arthur and Anita M. Lindner; both of Kenbridge and Janet Garrett of Victoria; Cindy’s children, Rebecca Thompson and Chris Thompson (Tiffany) and his grandchildren; nephews, extended family and friends.
Spencer grew up in Kenbridge and graduated from Central High School. He was a honest contractor that built homes, added additions and decks and put on and replaced roofs in and around Lunenburg County.
The outdoors was his passion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he ran Hounds Creek Hunt Club for many years where all were invited to join in the hunt.
In his later years he enjoyed being with his family, especially the grandchildren and working in his garden.
A Celebration of His Life will be held 11AM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Kenbridge Christian Church. The family will receive friends at all times at Cindy and Spencer’s home, 5252 South Hill Road, Kenbridge, Va 23944.
