Stacey Dwight Austin, born on July 11, 1980, in Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on December 15, 2025, in Sparta, Tennessee. A devoted follower of Christ, Stacey was known for his warm heart and a profound love for those around him. He built strong friendships throughout his life, leaving a lasting impact on many.
Stacey was a beloved son and father, showing his deep love for his mother, Peggy Austin, and his children, Shawn Austin and Samantha Austin. He cherished his family and the time spent together, making memories that will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. One such memory shared involves a fun ride on a scooter with Shawn, which took an unexpected turn when Stacey hilariously tipped over into a mud puddle. Although it was a moment filled with apprehension, their laughter in the aftermath encapsulates the joy and light-heartedness that Stacey brought into the lives of his loved ones.
Although Stacey leaves behind a family that includes his mother and children, he is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will carry his memory forward. He will be remembered for his kind spirit and the love he imparted to all he encountered.
In his passing, Stacey joins a lineage of deceased family members, including his grandmother, Barbara Ann Austin; grandfather, Elanze Austin Jr.; uncle, Elanze Austin III; aunts, Mary Ann Spivey, Teresa Austin; and uncles Billy Austin and Richard Austin, along with cousin Michael Spivey. Each of these individuals contributed to the tapestry of Stacey's life, shaping the person he became.
Stacey Dwight Austin’s memory will endure in the hearts of his family and friends, as they carry forward the values he held dear, rooted in love, connection, and laughter. His presence will be sorely missed, but his spirit will live on in the cherished memories of those who loved him.
