STACEY ELIZABETH GAUMOND

Stacey Elizabeth Gaumond, 58, passed away on November 8, 2025, after a brave and inspiring five-year battle with breast cancer. Since her diagnosis in 2020, Stacey faced every challenge with courage, humor, and grace-never losing her warmth, wit, or charm.

Stacey was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Pat and Vivian Winston, and her stepfather, Don Miller. She is survived by her loving husband of over 20 years, James Gaumond; her mother, Karen Winston; her brother, Kevin Shuba; her sister, Stephanie Baumann; her stepdaughter, Caitlin Simpson; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her close in their hearts. She will also be deeply missed by her dearest friend of more than 40 years, Erin Hutchison, with whom she shared a lifetime of laughter, resilience, and adventure.

Stacey had a heart as big as the sky. Her love for animals-especially horses-was one of her defining joys. She found peace and purpose among them, particularly with her beloved "soul horse," Timmy, who now misses her gentle touch. Stacey had a gift for rescuing and nurturing animals in need, and her compassion touched every life-human or furry-that crossed her path.

She lived. She loved. She shined.
Her radiant spirit and boundless kindness will continue to glow in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Stacey's Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Kramer Funeral Home, 203 N Bridge Street, Palouse, WA, with pastor Dan Willms officiating and will continue immediately following the service at 374484 Hwy 95, DeSmet, ID. All who knew and loved Stacey are welcome to join.
