Stacey Knauer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeBaun Funeral Homes & Crematory - Springhill Chapel on Feb. 13, 2024.
Stacey Lynn Knauer, 37, of Bradenton, Florida departed this world on February 8, 2024, surrounded by love at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. Born on February 27, 1986, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Stacey was the cherished daughter of Michael and Bobbie Grindle Knauer.
Stacey's journey began in the heart of Indiana, where she cultivated lifelong friendships during her formative years in Ellettsville. A proud graduate of Edgewood High School in 2005, Stacey pursued higher education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, before embarking on a fulfilling career in hotel management and banking. Her path led her to California for two enriching years before she settled in Bradenton, Florida, where she built a loving family.
Stacey's spiritual journey found solace in the embrace of Ellettsville United Methodist Church during her upbringing and culminated in adult baptism at New Life Christian Church in Paragon, IN. She exuded elegance and grace, finding joy in dressing herself in beautiful attire and reveling in the art of makeup. Stacey's heart overflowed with compassion, extending her kindness to those in need, often going the extra mile to lend a helping hand.
Above all, Stacey found her greatest fulfillment in motherhood, doting on her sons Noah and Mason, ages 6 and 4, respectively. She took immense pride in nurturing their growth, ensuring they were always impeccably dressed and celebrating their academic achievements with boundless pride. Some of her fondest memories were made during outings to children's museums, local parks and zoos where laughter filled the air, and love knew no bounds.
Stacey leaves behind her devoted husband, Matt Allen, her beloved sons Noah and Mason, cherished parents Michael and Bobbie Knauer, and a host of extended family members, including aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother Justin Knauer, maternal grandparents Alva and Barbara Grindle, paternal grandparents Eugene and Patricia Knauer, and mother-in-law Lynda Allen.
Stacey's light will forever illuminate the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, her legacy of love and compassion enduring through the cherished memories she leaves behind.
A visitation in remembrance of Stacey's vibrant life will be held on February 17, 2024, at DeBaun Funeral Home Springhill Chapel, where friends and loved ones may pay their respects from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Highland Lawn Cemetery. A reception honoring Stacey's memory will follow, details below.

Memories of Stacey:
-When I lived in Florida, I remember Stacey let me draw in sharpie all over her just so I could show her how good I was at drawing tattoos (that could not have been good for her skin)
-There was one night I was staying over at my Aunt Bobbie and Uncle mikes house and I was scared to go to sleep, so she gave me a stuffed animal that was Justin´s and told me it would protect me (I still have the stuffed animal to this day and even brought it to college with me ( his name is Stevie ))
-I remember her smile and how she could make someone feel like the most important person in the world with just one simple smile, she did every thing she could to make each individual person feel special.
Over all, I couldn´t have asked for a better big cousin, she was one of the most caring, loving, selfless people I´ve had in my life and she will be deeply missed. Rest in peace Stacey .
