Stacie Trappe (Burgess)
June 2, 1971 - November 9, 2025
Stacie Burgess, 54, of Harrison Township, Michigan, passed away on November 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She is survived by her parents, Michael and Deborah May Vaters; her children, Tiffani Burgess (Lauren Tabacchini) and Blake (Bella) Burgess; her siblings, Leigh (Kayce) Vaters and Debbie Jane Lister; her uncle and aunts, Mark (Luann) May, Denise (Michael) Schroeder, and Cindy May Druckenmiller. She was preceded in death by her long-term partner, Adam Trappe.
Stacie grew up with a strong sense of love, laughter, curiosity, and adventure that she carried throughout her life. Stacie worked hard to create a distinguished career in marketing and advertising and was well respected and appreciated by her colleagues. She also had a passion for life's simple joys: days spent boating on Lake St. Clair, attending concerts, shopping at Eastern Market, traveling to new destinations, and most of all, visiting northern Michigan with her close friends and family. Not only was Stacie a devoted mother to her two children, who were the center of her world, but also to her two puppies, Bota and Teddy, who brought endless amounts of laughter and companionship.
Stacie's bright smile, kindness, humor, and adventurous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Per Stacie's wishes, a cremation celebration of Stacie's life will be held at a later date.
"The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass away."
