STACIE MALONE WRIGHT Obituary
Stacie Lynn Malone Wright was born December 11, 1973, in Indianapolis Indiana to the late Silver Ruth Barksdale Malone and Pastor Cleytus D. Malone.
Stacie went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2025. Stacie was a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School class of 1992 and went on to attend Indiana State University where she received her Degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Human Resources.
Stacie met the love of her life Sean Wright, they were married on May 28, 2005, and from this union was born Sydni and Sean Michael. Stacie was a devoted wife and loving mother who enjoyed attending her children's sporting events and band concerts. Stacie loved to shop, cook, trying different foods, traveling, Beyonce' and singing. For many years she was a member of the Eastern Star Church Choir in Indianapolis. Stacie also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club and loved supporting her community. Early in her career, Stacie worked as a law clerk at Ellis Law in Terre Haute, Indiana. Her passion for Human Resources began during a brief tenure at Pfizer, also in Terre Haute Indiana. Stacie then moved to Pittsburg where she held an HR position for a short time before relocating to Indianapolis. There, she continued her HR career with roles at Meridian IQ and Foxcomm.
In 2006 Stacie began a long and diverse career at Comcast Cable where she served as an HR Coordinator, MDU Coordinator and Virtual Billing Specialist. In 2021 Stacie made the difficult decision to return to HR and accepted a position at the Indianapolis Kroger Bakery. Stacie moved with her family to Columbia, Tennessee where she spent the past 2 ½ years as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Ultium Cells. Stacie accepted the Lord at an early age and followed in the legacy of her mother Silver, carrying herself in a Godly manner always greeting others with a warm bright smile and a loving spirit.
In loving memory, Stacie is cherished by her loving husband of 20 years Sean Wright; children,Sydni and Sean Michael of Columbia Tennessee; father, Pastor Cleytus D. Malone of Terre Haute Indiana; mother-in-law, Betty Wright of Louisville Kentucky; brother, Rev. C. Dwayne Malone (Irene) of Terre Haute Indiana; brother-in-law, Darryl Wright of Louisville Kentucky; sister-in-law, Natalie Gray (Preston-deceased) of Jeffersonville Indiana; God Parents, Herley and Lena Johnson of Terre Haute Indiana; nieces and nephew, Paige, Evan, Noelle, Shyla; and great nephew, Casen. Loving friends, Renita Nelson of Terre Haute Indiana; Chundra Davis of Lewisburg Tennessee, and many others whom, Stacie loved dearly.
Stacie was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelbi Lauren Wright; mother, Silver Ruth Barksdale Malone; grandparents, Pastor James E. Barksdale and Arletta Barksdale; niece, Jasmine Marie Malone; and father-in-law, Arthur Wright.
Ceremonies to celebrate Stacie's life are June 14, 2025, at Saints Home Church of God in Christ, 2210 N 13th Street, Terre Haute Indiana with visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and funeral ceremony at 1pm, with Pastor Derick Wakefield of Knoxville Tennessee officiating.
Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery following the funeral service.
A Memorial Ceremony will be held at the UAW Local 1853, 125 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway, Spring Hill, Tennessee, 37174 on June 21, 2025 from 2pm until 6pm
