Obituary published on Legacy.com by Walker Sanderson Funeral Home & Crematory - Orem on Nov. 18, 2025.
Stanley Edward Brunsvik, son of Ingvar and Josephine Brunsvik passed away after a battle of pancreatic cancer on November 16, 2025 in
Orem, Utah. He was born on May 17, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He graduated from Highland High School and faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Seattle, Washington. Shortly after his mission, he met and married Norma Rivera, with whom he had four daughters.
Throughout his life, he exemplified dedication and hard work. He trained as a welder, working full days at his regular job and spending evenings building his own welding business, The Iron Man. While working for Innovative Iron he continued to work on his skills and craftsmanship that eventually led him to a career as a draftsman. He created stunning ornamental ironwork for high-end real estate. Among his proud accomplishments was contributing the ornamental ironwork for the fence at the Bountiful Temple.
He lived a life of service-always giving of his time, talents, and heart. He loved his country and the Constitution. He enjoyed taking his daughter's target shooting, held a soft spot for Marie Callender pies, and never failed to offer the last piece of dessert to anyone who wanted it.
He cultivated a deep love for his Norwegian heritage. He studied the Norwegian language and stayed connected with the Norwegian community in Salt Lake as part of the Sons of Norway. He regularly attended the annual Norwegian Christmas festivities and local celebrations of Norwegian Independence Day, which also happens to fall on his birthday. He especially loved traditional Norwegian treats such as marzipan and krumkake. He took great joy in supporting his family and extended family, faithfully attending their games, concerts, and performances. He was honored to serve as a local delegate and was always engaged in his community.
In 2024, he met and married Judith Elizabeth Perko. They enjoyed visiting family, long walks improving the community and dancing together, including private dance parties just for them. They enjoyed a beautiful year of marriage. She lovingly cared for him through his declining health.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Tanner Brunsvik; his father, Ingvar Brunsvik; his sister, Margy Postic; his brother-in-law, Victor Postic; his brother, Robert Ray Brunsvik; and his nephew, Levi Thomas Brown.
He is survived by his sisters: Dorthy Cloward (Ray), Ann Cluff (John), Susan Moore
