Stanley C. Coolen, Jr., 75

1947 - 2023

Saugus - Mr. Stanley C. Coolen, Jr., age 75, died on Tuesday, September 5th, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. He was the husband of Nicoletta "Nicky" (Tenaglia) Coolen with whom he shared nearly 53 years of loving marriage.

Born in Revere and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Stanley C. and Catherine (Prower) Coolen. A graduate of Lynn Classical High School where he played baseball, Mr. Coolen was an avid sports fan and player who loved golfing with his buddies. A resident of Saugus since 1971, he was 40-year employee of the General Electric River Works in Lynn working as a jet engine assembler.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters; Kristen Coolen of Amesbury, Lisa O'Brien and her husband Sean of Quincy, Lora Sciacca and her husband John of Sandown, NH. Mr. Coolen was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren; Ryan, Gina and Owen. He was the brother of Judie O'Connor, Janice Kasle and Joyce Snell all of FL and the late Mary Barnett. Mr. Coolen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Service Information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
