Stanley Dale Fourhman

Stanley Dale Fourhman entered into rest at his home in Red Lion during the morning hours of Monday, October 30, 2023 at the age of 90. He was the husband of Bettie Lou (Fisher) Fourhman, to whom he married on January 17, 1953, sharing 70 years together.
He was born in Glen Rock to the late Clinton Charles and Eva Lovina (Jones) Fourhman on June 30, 1933. Stanley was a United States Army Veteran and was very proud of his service to his country. He dedicated exactly 52 years and 10 months to the former D.E. Stetler as an automotive mechanic and was very humbled to be a part of their organization. In his early years, he enjoyed deer, turkey and small game hunting and will fondly be remembered a very loyal & devoted hard worker. Later in life, Stanley became the primary caregiver for his wife and his daughter, Lori. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Almost Heavenly Home Care and Grane Hospice as well as extended family members for the compassion and care shown to Bettie and Lori when Stanley became sick.
Besides his wife, Stanley leaves his daughters, Lisa K. Huth and husband, Ken of Durham, NC, Lori L. Fourhman of Red Lion and his son, Robin D. Fourhman and wife, Rebekah of Red Lion. He also leaves his granddaughters, Marci L. Krebs and husband, Kevin of Dallastown and Lydia G. Huth of Boston, as well as his grandsons, Joseph L. Fourhman and wife, Rhonda of York Haven, Colin A. Huth and Oliver S. Huth, both of Durham, NC. He leaves his great grandchildren, Clark J. Fourhman of York Haven, Alessandra R. Krebs and Giuliana N. Krebs, both of Dallastown. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lila M. Fourhman in 2019 as well as his two sisters and four brothers.
A graveside service with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10:00 am at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Those who wish to attend should plan to meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 am. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.
