Stanley John Glanz
October 9, 1942 – November 12, 2023
Stanley John Glanz, 81, passed away at home surrounded by family on November 12, 2023 after a short illness.
Stan was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on October 9, 1942, to Conrad William and Frieda (Lipps) Glanz.His family moved to Worland in 1954 where he attended Worland Schools.
In his younger years, Stan was a talented baseball player. He played American Legion Baseball, then played for the Worlnad Indians Semi Pro baseball team until he enlisted in the United States Nave in February of 1962. He was honorable discharged from the Unites States Navy in September 1965.
Stan's hobbies included hunting elk in the Big Horn Mountains, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He enjoyed all the visits from his six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allen. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sally; sons, Justin (Lana) Glanz of Casper, Wyoming, Jarrod (Heidi) Glanz and Jay (Charity) Glanze all of Worland; brothers: William "Bill" (Phyllis) Glanz of Worland, Richard "Rick" (Lynn) Glanz of Riverton, Wyoming and Terry (Tracy) Glanz of Worland; grandchildren: Kaylee, Kannen, Madilyn, Emma, Molly and Danner; great-granddaughter, Kinzlee.
Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes there will be no formal servicesA Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Washakie Ministerial Food Bank and sent to PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.net.
