Stanley Joe Griffith Sr., age 82, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1943, to the late Everett and Mary (Taylor) Griffith of the Brimstone community. Stanley was a simple, honest, straightforward, hardworking man and veteran. He loved to dig ginseng, dig under cliffs for arrowheads and gardening. Stanley got right with his Lord before passing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Helen Griffith; his mother and father-in-law, Sylvester and Bertha (Reagan) Griffith; brothers, Clayton and Leamon Griffith; sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Hurstle Hill; brother-in-law, Steve Marciniak; sisters-in-law, Sue and Betty Griffith; step son-in-law, Larry Garrett.

Stanley is survived by his son, Stanley Joe Griffith Jr.; stepsons, Kenneth and Michael Griffith; stepdaughters, Janice (Benny) Bowling, Kathy (Wade) Chambers, Diana Garrett and Brenda (Gary) Spradlin; sister, Bernetta Marciniak; brothers, Charlie Griffith, James Griffith, and Mark (Pam) Griffith; grandchildren, Jeremy, Dakota, Desirae, Jonathan, Chauncey, Jennifer, Brian, Brandon, Kristi, Sasha, Brittany and several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Griffith family on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Davis and Bro. Mike Smithers officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Lone Mountain Cemetery on Brimstone Road in Robbins where he will be laid to rest beside his wife. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Dakota Overton, Charlie Griffith, James Griffith, Mark Griffith, Wade Chambers, and Derek Watson.
