Stanley Harubin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations on Apr. 12, 2025.
Stanley "Stosch" J. Harubin, age 78, of Eastlake, Ohio, peacefully passed away on April 9, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 13, 1946, Stanley lived a life rich with love, dedication, and a spirited enthusiasm for the things he cherished.
A proud Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Stanley carried with him a sense of duty and honor that shaped the man he became. His commitment to his community was evident in his 20-year tenure as a custodian at Richmond Heights Elementary School, where he fostered countless friendships and created a welcoming environment for students and staff alike.
Stanley had a zest for life that included a love for Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies, which he enjoyed sharing with those close to him. A devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians and an avid boater, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including visits to flea markets alongside his beloved family.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Harubin, and his granddaughters, Michelle Brunson and Alyssa Molnar. Stanley also leaves behind his loving sister, Theresa Copeland, and a host of extended family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Stanley was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 56 years, Kathleen M. Harubin, and siblings Pat, John, and Walter Harubin. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Stella Harubin (Kijek).
A celebration of Stanley's life will be held in his honor. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, laughter, and memories on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2pm at the Eastlake VFW, located at 33641 Vine Street, Willowick, OH.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Eastlake Fire Station 1, the nurses at Hillcrest Hospital, and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the exceptional care provided to Stanley.

I have countless memories of you Stan, you were in my life for many many years. When the 4 of us went to the Tribe game is one of my favorite memories. May you find peace and happiness now that you are reunited with Kathy.
