Stanley Jacobs, age 88, of Holland, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Stan attended Holland Christian Schools, was a US Army Veteran, and member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church. He was a man of quiet faith in God and the gift of salvation.
He worked in boat manufacturing for Chris-Craft, Slickcraft, and S2 Yachts. In later years, he was a custodian for Holland Christian Schools. He enjoyed delivering flowers for local florists during retirement.
Stan was an avid bowler, staying active in bowling leagues and tournaments for many years. He rarely missed a Detroit Tigers baseball game on tv, and also enjoyed watching college basketball games.
Until recent years, going out for coffee in the morning, meeting up with his brothers and buddies was the start of his weekdays. Stan enjoyed spending time with his family, with holidays holding special memories.
He was preceded in death by Carolyn, his wife of 52 years, in 2011; and siblings, Anne Elzinga and Nelson Jacobs.
