Stanley Lanier Obituary

Stanley was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church. Professionally, Stanley dedicated twenty years to the State of Georgia Department of Agriculture and was a proud chicken farmer for many years.
He was an avid collector of quarters and enjoyed his time coaching little league baseball in the 1980s. Stanley enjoyed duck hunting and always cherished his time golfing with his brothers.
Above all, Stanley Lanier was a family man, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. His generous and playful spirit will be profoundly missed, yet his legacy of laughter, kindness, and dedication will always be remembered by his family and all who were honored to know him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Lanier and father, Leon Lanier and nephew, Justin Lanier.
Survivors include his daughter, Beth Jones (David); former wife and lifelong friend, Audrey Lanier; siblings, Janice Fuller (Ben), Kenneth Lanier (Sonya), Doug Lanier (Glenda) and Anne Cross (Wayne); as well as beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church with Pastor Kasey Kuyper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 17th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
