Stanley B. Manial

MANIAL, Stanley – of Burt, age 97, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Birch Run VFW – 11325 Dixie Hwy., in Birch Run. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw.
Stanley was born December 25, 1925, in Saginaw, to the late Burt and Sadie (Cazlewski) Manial. He attended school in Saginaw and worked at General Motors for 32 years. Stanley proudly served his country overseas in the United States Army during WWII. On August 31, 1945, Stanley married his best friend, Marjory McDonagh, and together they shared nearly 30 years of marriage. Marjory preceded him in death on March 15, 1974. Stanley was a proud catholic and was a member of the Montrose Eagles. During his younger years he enjoyed hunting, traveling the country – or to Canada to do some fishing, and visiting the casinos. Stanley was a social man who liked to hang out with friends playing cards and bowling. Beyond his social life, Stan was a man of all trades who assisted with making Burt, Michigan what it is today. For some time, he was a mason and a carpenter, but above all, Stanley loved his family – especially his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Iddings, Cardinal Hospice, and Stanley's granddaughter, Christine, for their love, compassion, and professionalism during his final days.
Stanley is forever loved by his children: Michael Manial, Pamela (Thomas) Lavrack, and Henry Manial; Grandchildren: Michael "Eric" Manial, Nona (John) Szczepanski, Danny (Loretta) Manial, John (Amy) Manial, Christine (Tony) Sutter, Tina (Richard) McRae, Thomas (Heather) Lavrack, Jr.; Great-Grandchildren: Stasch, Jacob, Amanda, Kevin, Ashley, Sadie, Aubrey, Kindra, Cooper, Scott, Joe, Robert, Josh, Ellah, and Evan; 6 Great- Great Grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Marjory Manial; Son, Daniel Manial; Parents; Siblings: Florence, Danny, Roman, Evelyn, and Charlie; Mother and Father-in-law, Ralph and Marie McDonagh; Daughter-in-laws: Patricia Manial and Karen Manial.
