Franklin – Stanley Adam Piersa, Sr., 86, passed away February 7, 2025 in Maryview Medical Center. He was born March 2, 1938 in West Point, VA, to the late Chester Joseph Piersa, Sr. and Annie Marie Groski Piersa and was also predeceased by a sister, Martha Jackson, a brother, Chester "Joey" Piersa, Jr.
Stanley was a 1957 graduate of Windsor High School and retired as a shipping coordinator with Union Camp Corporation. He also helped Janet run Janet's Gifts and Hairstyling. Stanley was a Mason and a member and former Deacon at Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Janet Mincher Piersa; a daughter, Shelia Davis (David); a son, Stanley Piersa, Jr. (Angela); two brothers, Larry Piersa (Teresa), and Billy Piersa (Sharon); his first wife, Linda Parker; six grandchildren, Kevin Davis (Chris), Ashley Davis (Justin), Garrett Piersa (David), Makenzie Piersa (Crosby), James Chastain (Desiree), and Austin Chastain (Alex); and his two best girls, Hope and Faith.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1PM Monday, February 10, 2025, in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Wood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
