Stanley Rozynski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home - Wethersfield from Dec. 30 to Dec. 31, 2025.
Stanley "Stan/Stas" Rozynski, 65, of Wethersfield, unexpectedly passed away into eternal life on Monday, December 29th, 2025. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, son of Janina (Kozak) Rozynski and the late John J. Rozynski, he graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1978 and continued on to earn his Criminal Justice degree. Following his graduation, he began working for Hartford Hospital in 1981 where he worked for 44 years until his passing. Known in the office for his smile and calm, grounded presence, Stan took great pride in his career and his relationships with his colleagues, making every workplace he was a part of feel like a community. Outside of work, Stas was an active member of the Polish Scouting Organization (ZHP) for the majority of his life. He held many roles throughout the organization, from instructor and mentor, to caretaker of hundreds of acres of scouting land in Vermont, where his heart was happiest. Stan was most at peace spending his time outdoors; he loved taking long trips on scenic backroads on his motorcycle, riding his ATV, mowing his lawn, splitting firewood for the campfire, and looking for any project to complete as long as it was outside. As an experienced and avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed marksmanship training, and loved sharing his vast knowledge of the history, use, mechanics, and safety of firearms and knives. He also enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching educational YouTube videos, cars, bourbon, enjoying a cigar by the fire, crafting belts out of leather and bracelets/lanyards out of paracord, and attending Catholic Mass at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church in Hartford. More than anything, Stanley loved his family. He was immensely proud of his titles of husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 41 years, Wiesia Rozynski; his daughter Monika Rozynski; his son, Aleksander Rozynski and his wife, Dominika, and their two children, Kaia and Nina, Stanley's grandchildren whom he adored greatly. He is also survived by his mother, Janina Rozynski, and his brother and best friend, Richard Rozynski and his wife Hanna. He was predeceased by his father, John J. Rozynski. Additionally, those left to honor his memory and legacy include the many extended family members and friends that surrounded him with love and that he considered his family as well. He will forever be remembered for his smile, genuine warmth, selflessness, compassion, strength, sense of humor, and his mentorship that touched and impacted so many individuals.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Polish Scouting Organization, 236 Carriage Crossing Lane, Middletown, CT 06457.
Relatives and friends of Stanley are invited to call on Friday, January 2nd, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. His funeral service will begin on Saturday, January 3, at 10:00 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 63 Popieluszko Ct., Hartford.
