Stanley S. Stauffer

Stanley S. Stauffer, 94, of Macungie, passed away on May 11, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was married for 74 years to Jean (Kauffman) Stauffer, who passed away in 2019. Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Henry and Mary (Eisenhard) Stauffer. Stanley honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWll and was the last surviving crew member of his ship, the USS Hazzard. Stanley was a man of strong principles, a magnetic personality and a very generous nature. More than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Stauffer and wife Tracy of Center Valley, and Larry Stauffer, Sr. and wife Ingrid of Allentown; grandchildren Larry Stauffer, Jr. and wife Stacey, Michael Stauffer and wife Colette, Stephen Stauffer and wife Alison, Richard Stauffer and wife Nora, Robert Stauffer and wife Mary, James Stauffer and wife Julie, Vincent Shiban and wife Brenda and Christopher Shiban and wife Jennifer; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister Arlene Elsenbaumer of Macungie and daughter-in-law Jeanne Stauffer of Macungie. He was predeceased by brothers Elmer, Oscar, Clayton, Paul and Kenneth and sisters Annie, Edna and Mae.

Due to COVID restrictions, a memorial service will be held in private for the family at the Schmoyer Funeral Home in Breinigsville on Monday, May 17. Burial will be at Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis.
