YOUNGSTOWN - Stanley Lee Vogle, 81, passed away Tuesday evening, May 27, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Stanley was born May 25, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Arthur and Lowrine Newton Vogle. He had been a longtime resident of Windsor House at Guardian, where he built close connections and was lovingly cared for.
From the age of 16, Stanley faced numerous health challenges that made daily life difficult, but through the grace of God and the support of loved ones, he was able to live a life filled with family, friendship and joy.
He had a passion for drawing and movies, especially those featuring his favorite actor, John Wayne. He was also a fan of Batman, enjoyed shopping, dining out, and had a particular love for soul food. Most of all, Stanley cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Stanley is survived by his two sisters, who cared for Stanley over the years, Yolanda Vogle-Jones of Jacksonville, FL., and Germaine Vogle, formerly of Lithonia, Georgia, now of Warren; nieces, Fatima Vogle, Della Vogle, Conchetta Vogle, and Michele Edge; nephews, Anthony Vogle, Marcus Vogle, Shawn Edge, Tiberius Jones, and Booker L. Jones; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his brother, Edward L. Vogle; sister, Barbara Lee Vogle; his grandparents, Hosea and Viola Newton and Robert and Edna Mae Day Vogle Sr.; along with a number of aunts and uncles.
Per Stanley's request there are no calling hours or services.
