Stanley L. "Shag" Witt, age 70, passed away on June 24 at UT Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Beulah "Pib" Dalton Witt, and his brother, Nicky Witt.
He is survived by his brothers, Alan Witt and Malcolm Witt (Shenia); and his sisters, Sharon Smith (AJ) and Sheila Irons (Chris Arp). He also leaves behind many beloved nephews: Blake Witt; Jamey, Jason, and Ben Smith; Travis and Jesse Witt; Joshua and Nick Witt; and Charlie and Aaron Irons.
A special thank you goes to his sister-in-law, Shenia Witt, who lovingly cared for Shag as if he were her own brother.
Shag was a faithful supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for many years. In honor of his memory, donations may be made to St. Jude's, as this would have been his wish.
A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11:30am at Epperson Cemetery, with Pastor Ronnie Dalton officiating.
