Starr Dove Wade age 65 of Rocky Mount passed away at her home on Sunday, August 17, 2025 surrounded by family.
She was born on February 23, 1960 a daughter of the late Peary and Christine Dillon. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Hodges (Jimmy); three brothers, Raymond Dillon (Frances), Garland Dillon (Ruby) and Jerry Dillon (Shelby).
She is survived by her sisters, Gladys Flora (Earl), Mary McCall (Eddie), Roxxane Harvey (Richard), Darlene Wright (Coy), Dean Dudley and Edith Dillon; two special friends, Tommy Arrington (Hazel); one niece that was really special to her, Debbie Hodges; one niece that she loved as a daughter, Sarah Hodges whom she called "My Baby Girl"; special nephew that she loved very much, Perry Dale Hodges and Kevin. She is also survived by her daughter Alycia Wade (James) her only child that she loved dearly, her grandchildren, Austin Taylor Wade, Cassidy Faith Wade her special parental grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
