AUBURN---Stella M. Duplissis, 94, of Auburn peacefully passed away on the morning of Friday March 1, 2024 at the Chapman House in Auburn. She was born in Keegan, ME on February 4th, 1930. She is a daughter of the late Sevrin and Carolyn (Cyr) Violette. She was the remaining survivor of their 17 children. She grew up in the Van Buren area and attended local schools.
She married Gerard Duplissis in Van Buren on November 15th, 1950. They moved to Auburn and started a family together. She worked many years as a waitress and she was also an amazing seamstress. Stella will always be remembered for her love of knitting and gardening. She could grow the most amazing tomato plants. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Roy and her husband Clayton of Lewiston, a son Donnie Duplissis and wife Diane of Lewiston. She was a proud grandmother to 4 grandchildren: Scott Duplissis and his wife Eve of Cleveland, TN, Eric Roy and his wife Sheila of Lewiston, Jason Duplissis and his wife Millie of Westchester, PA, and Matthew Ouellette and wife Tammy of Litchfield. She was a proud great-grandmother to 5 great-grandchildren: Madison and Sydney Roy of Lewiston, Amelia and James Duplissis of PA, and Roya Ouellette. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard and all of her siblings.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday March 9, 2024 from 9am-11am followed by a Liturgy of the Word service at 11am also at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chapman House for their care and compassion, especially in Stella's last days.
