Graveside services for Mrs. Stella Roberts Fatzer, of Wisner, will be 2:00PM Friday, September 22, 2023 at South Central Baptist Cemetery near Wisner under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Winnsboro, with interment directly following. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 1:30PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fatzer was born April 29, 1937 in Wisner, LA and passed from this life on September 18, 2023 in Wisner, LA at the age of 86. She retired from the Franklin Parish School Board where she worked as a cafeteria server at Wisner schools. She was a longtime member of South Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school many years and was involved in many various activities and ministries through the years. Stella loved to cook, loved beautiful flowers, and enjoyed working in her yard, especially when it came to mowing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel M. Fatzer; her parents, Monroe Richard Roberts and Delma Wright Roberts; three brothers, Thomas Roberts, Gerald Roberts, and Monroe Roberts, Jr.; and one sister, Pearl "Lou" Caillouet.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Fatzer and wife, Anne of Covington, and Ronnie Fatzer and wife, Sandra of Wisner; "special daughter", Kimberly Thomas and husband, Carl; five grandchildren, Courtney Harris and husband, Alan of Wisner, Michael Fatzer of Covington, Richard Fatzer and wife, Cheyenne of Wisner, Lauren Fatzer of Covington and Randy Fatzer of Winnsboro; five great-grandchildren, Ryder, Baylor, Stella and Cady Jane; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Fatzer, Richard Fatzer, Michael Fatzer, Randy Fatzer, Chris Greer and Mark Enterkin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Roberts and the deacons of South Central Baptist Church.
