Stella Mae Holt, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on September 28, 1941, in Louisville, KY, Stella’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, care, and dedication to family.
Stella devoted her professional life to the hospitality industry, where her attention to detail and innate organizational skills shone brightly. Her personality mirrored the colorful, vibrant life she led—filled with laughter, energy, and an acceptance of all those around her.
With an artistic spirit, Stella loved to enhance her surroundings with bright colors, often expressing herself through her love for painting. Whether it was walls, furniture, or anything that stood still long enough, she infused her home with the shades of nature’s beauty. An avid shopper, Stella possessed an unparalleled talent for finding the most personal and meaningful items for her loved ones. She was non-judgmental with an eagerness to welcome others into her circle, forming lasting friendships with all who dared to accompany her on shopping quests.
Stella’s devotion to her family was absolute. Despite the fading of her memories in her later years, her love for her children and grandchildren remained paramount. She embraced her role as an amazing mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent nurturing those she held dear. In her final days, Stella found joy in caring for her beloved babydolls, expressing her caregiver nature and unconditional love through this endearing pastime. Stella's devotion to her family was paramount. She created a legacy of love and warmth that will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Stella is survived by her loving children: Beecher Clemens (Linda), Pennie Lucas (John), and Tim Clemens (Paula), as well as her cherished siblings Nancy, Pat, Wanda, and Charles. She delighted in the company of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her vibrant spirit and nurturing essence.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles Holt, and her parents, Guff and Bessie Perkins, Stella also joined her siblings Jerry, Marie, Doris Jean, and Mary Alice in eternal rest.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Stella’s life at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, KY. A visitation will be held on July 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:30 PM. Stella will be laid to rest in a burial service at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, KY, at 3:00 PM.
Stella Mae Holt’s vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those she touched throughout her life, serving as a reminder of the love and joy she brought into the world.
