Stella Lee Williams, just as her name implies, was a bright and shining star – spirited, funny, courageous, and beloved. She breathed her last breath in the peaceful presence of loved ones on January 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Born on October 9, 1935, Stella grew up in Daingerfield, Texas and spent her life bringing light to the community. She was steadfast in her love for God and committed her life to serving Jesus Christ with an unwavering faith. In 1955, she married Kenneth Williams and the two enjoyed a beautiful life until his passing in 2008, including decades of devoted Air Force service and running Stella's Grocery, a beacon of the Jenkins community. Stella also served Morris County as Justice of the Peace for several years. Her beauty, wit, and spunk charmed everyone that she met. Together, she and her husband raised three children and six grandchildren. Stella is preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Ray Williams, Sr., son Bobby Gerald Williams, and two siblings. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Ray Williams, Jr. and her daughter, Vicki Williams Hall, her six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and five siblings. Services will be held at South Union Baptist Church, 159 FM-997, Daingerfield, TX 75638, Tuesday, 14th of January at 2:00pm CST, with graveside following at Clark Cemetery under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
