Stephan (Steve) Adamic, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the age of 79. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Anthony and Hazel (Dreon) Adamic. Steve grew up in Sharon, MA, and attended Tilton Academy before becoming a proud graduate of Babson College. He enjoyed a long and successful career as an executive in the construction industry, where his leadership and dedication left a lasting impact. In addition to his career, he served for 30 years as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs, bringing integrity and dedication to every case.
Steve was an adventurer at heart, finding joy in the outdoors, whether he was sailing, hiking, fishing, or golfing alongside his cherished wife of 57 years, Cyndy. Together, they created countless memories traveling to places he held dear, including Bermuda, Maine, many international destinations and skiing all over Europe. But his heart found a special home in New Hampshire at Eastman, where he embraced the community and found peace and happiness among its natural beauty.
An exceptional cook and a talented woodworker, Steve took pride in creating and sharing meals and projects with his family in addition to cooking lessons with his grandchildren. His love for family was unwavering and unmeasurable; he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather. His warmth, gentleness, and kindness touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife and soulmate, Cyndy, his two sons, Doug Adamic and his wife Michelle of North Andover, and Jason Adamic and his wife Laura of Jamaica Plain, as well as his grandchildren, Olivia, Anne Marie, Sarah, and Andrew. He is also survived by his sisters, Catherine Arrigoni of Naples, Florida, and Mary Burlone of Norton, MA.
A visitation with the Adamic family will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet), from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice or taking a walk on the beach in Steve's memory.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Steve was our leader with all things Irving-related. Very grateful for his help on that front. Sending our warmest wishes to you and your entire family, Cindy. Hold him dear in your hearts.

Hi, Cyndy. I just heard from Michelle that Steve had passed. I'm very sorry for your loss. His smile was bright and always made me smile back. Take care.

Cyndy and I were 18 years old. We were two girls with out-of-control
imaginations and a sense of humor that no one quite understood.
I chose to move out of my family home and get an apartment.
Cyndy chose a new love, Steve Adamic. I invited Cyndy and Steve for dinner.
Of course, I made my signature dish, sautéed hamburger with catsup over rice, and a chocolate cake for dessert!
It was time for dessert, and I placed the frosted cake on the table.
Probably, we had used all of my plates and silverware on the dinner.
Suddenly, Steve reached out and scooped up a big piece of cake with his hands and Cyndy and I joined in, all of us laughing hysterically. We devoured the cake with frosting all over us. That is when I fell in love with how funny Steve was and the idea of this wonderful couple, Cyndy and Steve, my friends.

Dear Cyndy and family

We are so sorry to hear of the recent passing of Steve.
He was always a kind and friendly neighbor.
He loved walking the dog in our Pinehills neighborhood.

Steve will be missed greatly by all.

With sympathy
