With heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved Stephanie Cantu on March 24, 2025 at the age of 46. Though she was given a very short life expectancy, she defied all odds with her strength and resilience, blessing our family with decades of love and light.
Born with severe cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities, Stephanie faced many challenges, but she never let them define her. She may not have spoken in words, but her laughter, her smile, and the warmth of her presence spoke volumes. She taught us all the meaning of unconditional love, patience, and the beauty of life's simplest moments.
She was welcomed into eternity by her loving parents, Juan and Patty Cantu, who preceded her in passing. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted siblings, including her younger sister, Candace Cantu, who selflessly cared for her for over 25 years, along with her older sisters, Tricia Galvan and Jennifer Gonzalez and younger brother, Jonathan Cantu, who also shared in her care throughout her life. She was also deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews, who brought her joy and were blessed by her presence in their lives.
Our family is deeply grateful for the love and support of those who helped care for Stephanie throughout her life. She was a testament to strength, love, and the power of a life well-lived, no matter the circumstances.
A celebration of Stephanie's life will be held on April 4, 2025 at 11 am at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to $JCan4689 in her honor.
Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Stephanie's spirit, love, and lessons will remain in our hearts forever.
