Stephanie Chick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moore-Cortner Funeral Home - Winchester on Dec. 14, 2025.
Stephanie Jean Chick, age 50 of Tullahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. A native of Coffee County, she was born on March 31, 1975, in Tullahoma to the late Roger Gene and Shirley Kay (Pearson) Chick. She was a 1994 graduate of Franklin County High School. Stephanie then went on to graduate from Shelbyville School of Technology and obtained her CNA license. With a kind servant's heart, she worked as a CNA at the Life Care Center in Tullahoma as well as at the Skills Development Center. When she was able, she enjoyed traveling to the beach. She also enjoyed listening to music, cooking, and watching Golden Girls and Andy Griffith. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved daughter, family, friends, and four-legged best friend, Voto. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. Her family and friends will remember her loving and kind nature, along with her contagious sense of humor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son who passed at birth, Austin Hunter; and grandmothers, Clara Rogers and Velma K. Shockley. Stephanie is survived by her world and joy of twenty-five years, Alexus Garrett of Tullahoma, who has been her only caregiver for the last eight years; best friend, Angie Benson; God-daughters, Shelby Teters and Courtney Teters; God-sisters, Windy Teters, April (Adam) Perry; God-niece and nephew; Desi Perry and Clay Perry, God-brother, Adam Perry; aunts, Ann Childress and Judy (Johnny) Trussell; uncles, Joe (Patty) Pearson, James Pearson, Gary (Stacy) Edwards, and David Edwards; great-aunt, Retha Curtis; favorite cousin, Aaron Curtis; cousins, Ricky Curtis, Sharron Curtis, Shayla Curtis, Faith Parton, Paisley Partin, Travis Trussell, Steven Edward, Ethan Edwards, Dakota Edwards, Nathan Edwards, Casey Edwards, Haley Edwards, Allen Edwards, Chance Edwards, Olivia Edwards, Will Edwards, and Tiffany McCarver; and many other relatives. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 11:00pm – 1:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00pm from the chapel.
