Stephanie Carol Jackson, affectionately known throughout her childhood as "Muffy," was born on August 13, 1969, in Ellenville, New York, to her parents, Annie Jackson and Otis Jackson. Stephanie peacefully left this world on November 10, 2025, at Westchester Medical Center, at the young age of 56 years old.
A proud graduate of Monticello High School, Stephanie's ambition and passion led her to pursue higher education at Howard University. In her later years, she served as a Daycare Director, impacting young lives with her nurturing.
Stephanie's heart overflowed with love for her family, and she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She often expressed her love through her amazing meals and dinners. With her generous heart and incredible cooking skills, she shared countless meals and created lasting memories with those she loved. Known for her vibrant personality, Stephanie enjoyed entertaining both family and friends. She also had a love for jeopardy and treasured any opportunity to test her knowledge, while also challenging those around her. Stephanie was very honest and direct, possessing an unfiltered straightforwardness that was always delivered with love. This trait was greatly admired by everyone who knew her.
Left to mourn Stephanie's profound loss are her children, Devan M. Jackson of Monticello, NY, Dior M. Jackson of Buffalo, NY, Dominique Person of Monticello, NY, and Mysharae D. Jackson of Troy, NY. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Amai M. Jackson and Aiden M. Jackson-Ortiz, both of Troy, NY. Stephanie is also survived by her sisters, Eva Ann Hutchins of Monticello, NY, Gloria (Joseph) Lewis of Charlotte, NC, Paula Chessa of Liberty, NY, and Bridget Chessa of New York City; her twin brother, Stephen "Bobo" Jackson of Cochecton, NY; and brother, Alonzo (Betty) Coleman of Syracuse, NY; sister-in-law, Deborah Mack of Monticello, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Stephanie was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Thomas Mack, Sr., Eddie Lee Mack, Jr.; and her brother-in law, Theodore Hutchins, Sr. Though death has separated us, Stephanie's memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
