Stephanie Lopes

Stephanie Lopes passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Grand Junction, CO.

Born November 26, 1961, and raised in Falmouth, MA, Stephanie loved swimming, Cape Cod beaches, and figure skating as a child. After high school, she moved to Colorado, embracing the Rocky Mountains and a passion for skiing and travel. She lived in Aspen, Breckenridge, and, for the past 15+ years, called Grand Junction home, where she became a cherished neighbor and friend.

Stephanie enjoyed her work in the tourism and travel industry and was a devoted fan of the Colorado Avalanche. She loved spicy food and pickles and always brightened others' days with thoughtful emails, letters, and cards. Her passion for history and events, adventurous spirit, kindness, and generosity touched all who knew her.

Stephanie faced many illnesses, including cancer, with resilience and positivity. Her exercise bike routine was a vital part of her strength and outlook on life.

She is predeceased by her father, Richard Lopes, and is survived by her loving mother, Madeline Lopes; her siblings, Michael Lopes of North Falmouth, MA, Jennifer Lopes of Key West, FL, and Christopher Lopes and spouse Nicki; her nieces, Nina Lopes of Winthrop, MA and Elizabeth Lopes of Las Vegas, NV; as well as many cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Patrick's Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth, MA on February 7, 2026, at 10:00.
