Stephanie Yvonne Powell Ritter was born in York, PA on June 4, 1949, to the late Frank B. Powell and Janet Leach Brigette Powell. She was the wife of Marlin T. Ritter with whom she shared fifty-two years of marriage. Stephanie entered into rest on February 15, 2024, at Manor Care Kingston Court, in York, PA.
Stephanie graduated from William Penn SHS in the York City School District. She completed post graduate studies and graduated at the top of her class from York Academy of Arts where she majored in Commercial Art. Stephanie used her artist skills in several jobs. Her past employment included McCrory's Distribution Center, Triangle Printing, and DynCorp. During her free time, she loved to do crafts and paint. Many of the gifts she gave to family and friends included pieces of her artwork.
In addition to her loving and supportive husband, Marlin, Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Colette D. Ritter of York, PA, three Grandsons, Antonio M. Johnson, Jr., Khafre R. Johnson, and Nashiem M. Bryant; four great grands, Sincere Johnson, Kashmir Johnson, and Zamiy'a Johnson; two sisters, Janet M. Scott and Deborah Powell; one brother, Frank (Yvonne) Powell, Jr.; sister-in-law, Sharon Ritter; and brother-in-law Warren E. (Lisa) Ritter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Janet Powell, and two brothers, Marcus A. Powell and Michael Powell.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Boulding Mortuary, Inc., 471 Madison Ave., York, PA. On Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with services starting at 11 AM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 50 W. Cottage Place, York, PA.
