Obituary For Stephanie C. Summers

Stephanie C. Summers (Taylor), 63, of Whitman, MA, (formally Rockland) passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Stephanie was born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, to her late parents, Carleton F. and Alice M. (Gallant) Taylor. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1980 and went on to work for Dr. Jantzen's dental office for 35 years as a dedicated dental receptionist, where she was loved by patients and colleagues alike.

Stephanie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Glenn M. Summers. She leaves behind her greatest joy, her devoted daughter and best friend, Courtney L. Summers, and Courtney's husband, Neal A. Baptista. Stephanie and Courtney shared a bond that was extraordinary-one built on love, trust, laughter, and unwavering devotion. In Stephanie's final chapter, Courtney became her mother's constant source of strength and comfort. With immeasurable grace, she honored every wish Stephanie expressed, ensuring her journey on hospice was filled with dignity, peace, and love. The depth of their connection was an inspiration to all who witnessed it, and a true testament to the power of a mother-daughter bond.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Steven C. Taylor, Special niece and nephew and Godson ,Samantha E. Taylor and Carleton K. Taylor; her sisters, Deborah L. Arena and her late husband Peter R. Arena, and Bonnie M. Taylor with her husband Robert; her brother, Butch E. Taylor and their children; and her aunt and uncle, Luella P. (Taylor) and Clarence "Bud" Krynock. Loved by many nieces and nephews.

Stephanie was especially loved by her great-nieces, Alexis A. and Skylar R. Paniagua-Taylor, whom referred to her as ShuShu. She was adored by her Goddaughter Danielle "Dede" Wixon. Her grandchildren affectionately called her "Mimi," a title she held close to her heart. She is also lovingly remembered by her life partner, Lisa Molla.

Stephanie had a zest for life and a heart full of passions that she joyfully shared with others. She was an avid lover of music and discovered her greatest inspiration, Kristen Merlin, while watching The Voice. Following that spark, she embraced her true self with courage and joy. Her love of concerts and live shows brought her countless friendships, and she delighted in hosting her famous "Kristen Merlin parties," where friends and family would gather together, filling the dance floor with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She also found delight in her collections and hobbies, making treasured trips to the Longaberger factory in Ohio and filling her home with the warmth of Yankee Candles.

Stephanie will be remembered for her boundless kindness, generosity, and loving spirit. She was giving and forgiving, always placing the needs of others before her own, and her love for family and friends knew no bounds. Her presence brought joy, comfort, and warmth to all who knew her, and her memory will be carried forward in the hearts of those she touched.

Visitation will be held at Magoun Biggins Funeral Home, 314 Union Street, Rockland, MA, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at Magoun Biggins Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2025, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 12:30 PM, followed by burial at Bourne National Cemetery. Following the cemetery all are welcome to attend a celebration of life at the Rockland VFW.
