Stephen Arnold passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024. He was 81 years old.
Steve moved to the west coast as a young man and that is where his journey began. He met his wife, and they had a wonderful, loving, adventurous life together filled with laughter. He adored their daughter and his love for his family was always a priority. He was an avid Eagles fan and shared his passion for football with his daughter. He was a terrific athlete and competitor. His lifelong love for sports included football, baseball, tennis, softball, and bowling.
Before moving to Delaware, Steve and his wife had a family shoe store for many years. He was a pillar in the community and believed in supporting and giving back to the community. While in Delaware he was one of the founding fathers of the Kent County Senior Men's Softball League. He worked for many years at the YMCA in Dover, meeting and greeting all who passed through those doors.
Steve lived a beautiful and fulfilling life. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son-in-law, his three grandchildren, and the many lives he touched.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Steve on April 20th at 1:00 - 2:00 at Torbert Funeral Chapel located at 1145 E. Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19901
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Delaware Hospice, 555 E. Loockerman St., Dover, DE 19901.
