Mr. Stephen Boyd “Steve” Tyner entered into rest on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the age of 59. A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Patrick Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Grover Johnson. The family will greet friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM prior to the service at the church, and also on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the home of Ms. Ethelene Tyner, 9143 Hwy 102, Patrick, SC 29584. There will be a private burial at the Patrick Cemetery at a later date.
Born on April 22, 1966 in Cheraw, SC, Steve was the son of Ms. Ethelene Teal Tyner and the late Boyd Tyner, Jr.. Stephen was a longtime employee of Clear Waters Farm Supply, where he built lasting friendships throughout his career. He truly enjoyed life. Whether he was at work or spending time by the lake fishing, he made the most of every day. Stephen had a special love for animals, especially his beloved pets, Tonka and Ginger.
In addition to his father, Stephen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Ethel Teal; as well as his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Ellie Tyner.
He is survived by his mother, Ms. Ethelene Tyner of Patrick, SC; sisters, Donna (Mike Boan) Putnam of Patrick, SC, Marsha (Edward) Teal of Cheraw, SC; nieces, Heather (James) Felts of Ruby, SC, Amber (Devin) O’Neal of Louisiana, Mackenzie Teal of Cheraw, SC; nephew, Benjamin Putnam of NC; great-nieces and great-nephews, Mason, Rylie, Finley, Stella, Amelia, Hallie; aunt, Elaine Outlaw of Patrick, SC; and uncle, C.E. (Mary) Teal of Society Hill, SC.
Memorials may be made to Patrick Baptist Church, P.O. Box 23, Patrick, SC 29584; or to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves St. Florence, SC 29506.
