Stephen Bracco Obituary

Born in Staten Island on September 23, 1947 to Remo and Opal, Stephen was raised in Haledon and Hawthorne. He went on to live in Oakland for more than 43 years. Stephen served his country as a soldier in the United States Army and after his service, he worked for the US Postal Service in Wyckoff until he retired in 2020.
Stephen was the beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" Bracco of Oakland. He was the loving father of Michael Bracco and his wife Shawna of Baltimore, MD, and Phillip Bracco and his wife Lisa of Midland Park. Dear grandfather of Amelia Bracco, Gianna Bracco, Joseph Bracco, Vincent Bracco, Francesca Bracco and Dominic Bracco. Dearest brother of the late Myra Ray and her surviving husband, Ed Ray.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, NJ 07506.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you plant a tree in Stephen's memory.
