Michael Joseph Bracco

Michael J. Bracco, 61, of Danbury, died peacefully on Sunday, January 18th at Regional Hospice after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Brooklyn on November 27, 1964, beloved son of Michael P. Bracco and Alice (Rushka) Manter. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1982.

He excelled at all his jobs and made many friends along the way, starting as a mail clerk at Union Carbide right after high school. His other jobs included ESPN as a cook, Lincare as a medical technician, and oxygen specialist. He was an advanced technician at a dialysis center, then moved on to owning his own Pizza Restaurant in Florida till he took ill.

In addition to his father, Michael, and his mother, Alice (Roger), he will be sadly missed by his two sons, Christopher and Alexander Bracco; two grandsons, Wyatt and Calvin Bracco; his sister Maria Augun (Tony); and two brothers, Tony Bracco (Jennie), and Bill Bracco (Catherine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, January 23rd at 5:30pm. The family will receive friends between 4:00 – 6:00pm.
